Courtney Clay is an Associate in the Dallas office of Godwin Bowman & Martinez. Her primary area of practice is family law. She represents clients in a variety of family law matters including divorce, pre-marital agreements, and suits affecting parent-child relationship.

Courtney received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, in both Marketing and Management.

During law school, Courtney clerked for the late Judge James B. Martin of the 254th Dallas District Family Court, Chief Judge Barbara M. G. Lynn of the Northern District of Texas, and the Honorable Catharina Haynes of the Fifth Circuit United States Court of Appeals. She also served as Chief Counsel at the W.W. Caruth, Jr., Child Advocacy Clinic, Associate Managing Editor of the SMU Law Review Association, as well as a Student Bar Association mentor to incoming first-year law students.
